3.5 review - Intercession and Rees Howells
The author, D. Ruscoe knew Rees Howells and was part of the Bible College of Wales for many decades beginning in the late 30s and so wrote from what she saw.
There are some facts in here which are not found in Norman Grubbs book which is the classic on Rees Howells, (Rees Howells: Intercessor) but this book by Ruscoe falls short on Grubbs book.
Whilst the section on intercession was good i felt that there was to few Bible examples which weakened the book, but this may have been space limitations. ReesHowells dot com talks more about the man and his ministry with some rare photos.
In many ways this book is very similar to Grubbs book (quotes from him as well and why not), though not as good, but nonetheless still worth reading.
Rees Howells
This is a great complimentary book to Rees Howells: Intercessor by Norman Grubb. It motivates you to press in to intercession for true results!
Excellent
May be a boring book to some, but to those interested in the power of prayer, it should required reading.
THE Book on Intercession
If you are in the midst of intercession, this is THE book. It helped me to understand what I was going through and why.
This book is a guidebook for intercession; and yet, never puts God into a box.
Surprising
I read _Rees Howells, Intercessor_ several years before. I was expecting this book to be written in a similar style, with great power. But I was surprised instead by it's quietness and peace. A lot of it is Howells' choice of a verse or two, and a short message on that verse. I highly recommend reading it.

Editorial Reviews:
Doris Ruscoe was headmistress of the school for missionaries' children at the Bible College of Wales, founded by Rees Howells. Those familiar with Rees Howells from Norman Grubb's inspiring biography will appreciate Miss Ruscoe's riveting accounts of life in the college. Interspersed with her own recollections are Mr. Howells own words, painting a vivid picture of this Welsh coal miner whose name has come to be synonymous with the principle of intercession. Mr. Grubb encouraged Miss Ruscoe to write this book, which she did in collaboration with Samuel Howells, Rees' son. In the foreword he says, "Doris Ruscoe shows in detail how the Holy Spirit led Rees Howells, from his new birth onwards to discover the principles of Intercession. She traces for us his earlier stages of learning and application, fascinating to those of us who by grace are being taken the same way. She leads us on to the great intercession of World War Two, the intercession for the gospel to get to 'every creature,' so marvelously being fulfilled before our eyes today."
